We are a tiny studio making games for fun. We have no interest in your personal data, so we built our games to need as little of it as possible.

The short version: no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no trackers, and nothing sold or shared with data brokers. Our games send the display name you type and the gameplay moves you make to the other people in your session. Fingerslingers also has voice chat and tools to block and report players, so it sends a little more; see Fingerslingers below.

This policy covers the Jump Chase Games website at www.jumpchasegames.com and the games we publish, including the Cooking VR and Ascension Override apps for iOS, iPadOS, Meta Quest, Apple Vision Pro, and the web, and Fingerslingers for Meta Quest, Apple Vision Pro, and Steam. Our apps are published by Interactive Innovative Solutions LLC.

What our games collect

Your display name

Multiplayer games ask you for a name so other players can tell who is who. Pick anything you like — it does not have to be your real name, and we would rather it wasn't. It is stored on your own device so you don't have to retype it, and it is sent to the other players in your session while you are playing. It is not attached to an account, because there are no accounts.

Gameplay activity

While you are in a multiplayer session, your in-game movements and actions are relayed to the other players so everyone sees the same room. This is what makes the game work. It is discarded when the session ends.

Connection data

Connecting to a multiplayer session means your device talks to a relay server, which necessarily sees your IP address in order to route traffic back to you. We do not log it, store it, or use it to build a profile. Our relay runs on Cloudflare, whose own network handles traffic under Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Settings saved on your device

Preferences such as comfort options, audio levels, and your display name are saved locally in the app's own storage. They never leave your device except as described above, and deleting the app deletes them.

What our games do not collect

Fingerslingers

Fingerslingers is a multiplayer game you play with your hands, with voice chat, so it handles a few things our other games don't.

Your player ID

The first time you play online, the game makes a random key on your device. Our server sees only a player ID made from it, which is not linked to your name, email, or platform account. The server uses it to put you in games and to keep the safety settings below. Uninstalling the game deletes the key; a reinstall starts a new, unconnected ID.

Voice, hands, eyes, and face

So your cowboy moves, looks, and talks like you, the game sends the other players in your game, in real time: your voice, the positions of your head and hands, where you are looking, and your facial expressions. The microphone is on by default; switch it off at any time with the MIC button. Eye and face tracking are optional and depend on your headset; you can refuse them when asked or turn them off in your headset's settings, and the game still works. This data is encrypted, goes directly between players (or through Cloudflare's relay when a direct connection is not possible), and is never recorded or stored by us or by the relay.

Blocking, muting, and reporting

When you block or mute someone, our server stores that choice under your player ID so it follows you into new games, up to 500 entries each. When you report someone, we store the report so we can review it: the time, your player ID, theirs, the reason you picked, any note you typed (up to 500 characters), the room code, and the continent you connected from. We keep the most recent 1,000 reports and delete older ones. We use reports only to keep the game safe.

Matching nearby players

Quick Match uses the continent you connect from, which Cloudflare works out from your IP address, to put you with players nearby. We do not store your IP address or anything more precise. Same Wi-Fi play finds players on your local network and does not use our servers at all.

Session data and how long it lasts

To let a phone or browser find the headset hosting a game, our relay briefly holds a lobby entry containing a short join code and the list of connected players. It expires automatically a short time after the lobby goes quiet, and we do not keep a copy. The only things that outlast a session are Fingerslingers block and mute choices and player reports, described above.

The website

www.jumpchasegames.com is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It loads fonts from Google Fonts and, for the browser versions of our games, game files from Cloudflare R2; those providers see your IP address as part of serving the request, as any web server would. GitHub's handling of visitor data is described in GitHub's privacy statement.

Children

Our games are family friendly, and we designed them so that playing requires giving up nothing about yourself. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because there are no accounts and no ads, there is very little to collect. Fingerslingers has voice chat with other players, including strangers in Quick Match, so it is meant for teens and adults; parents can use their headset's parental controls, and players can mute strangers, block, and report. If you believe a child has somehow provided us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. The only third parties involved are the infrastructure providers named above, acting purely to deliver the game to you. We may disclose information if the law genuinely requires it.

Your choices

Since we hold no account and no profile, there is nothing for us to look up or export by name or email. Changing your display name in the app changes what other players see, and deleting the app removes everything stored locally. In Fingerslingers you can turn off the microphone, mute strangers, and unblock or unmute players; a reinstall gives you a new player ID that is not connected to the old one. If you would still like to ask us something about your data, please write to us.

Changes

If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the site.
